In addition to attending 14 lectures and a panel discussion, participants could admire exhibits in the exhibition zone, for example, try augmented reality with their own eyes (Axians Czech Republic s.r.o., AXIOM TECH s.r.o.), admire the skill of robots (EPRIN spol. s r.o, Universal Robots) and grippers (B+R automatizace, spol. s r.o.) and touch prints from 3D printers (MCAE Systems, s.r.o.), but also see what sophisticated information systems can do (Asseco Solutions, a.s./Helios, Compas automatizace, spol. s r.o., InfoConsulting Czech s.r.o., Minerva Česká republika, a.s., NTT DATA Business Solutions a.s.). Meeting people from the industry was another asset of the event, the participants realized 120 planned meetings and engaged in informal networking.

The conference was opened by the Deputy Governor of the South Moravian Region, Jan Zámečník, together with Tomáš Kubala, Vice-Chairman of the Board of RHK Brno and Chairman of IC 4.0, who offered companies a helping hand in lobbying towards the representatives of the region, the government and EU institutions.

Digitalization, resilience, sustainability and cybersecurity were like a red line running through the lectures throughout the day. The digitisation process and cyber security share the same bottleneck, and that is people and their knowledge. In his talk, Filip Plevač (independent digitalization consultant) focused on how he gradually got employees in one company on the digitalization bandwagon. In order to successfully implement the digitalization process, it is essential to change the mindset of people.

Changing the mindset is also a prerequisite for sustainability, Cyril Klepek (CYRKL Zdrojová platforma, s.r.o.) reiterated the principles of the circular economy and demonstrated the working concept of the circular marketplace of Cyrkl: waste from one company can be used in another company. Jan Denemark (FLOWBOX s.r.o.) noted that the first step in managing energy consumption is to measure it and that just by measuring it, employees will start to behave frugally. In the presentation by Tomáš Prchal (B+R automatizace, spol. s r.o.) it was mentioned, among other things, that by cleverly setting up the warehouse they saved the built-up area and that they recover energy from automatic shelf stackers. Jan Němec (AXIOM TECH s.r.o.) demonstrated how a digital twin speeds up production planning. Ladislav Dvořák (RoboTwin s.r.o.) demonstrated an innovative method of programming a robot without knowing a programming language.

Tomáš Suchan (NT Automation s.r.o.) described this year's real cyber attacks and pointed out that the weakest link in cyber security is again a human being. Although he gave his lecture with humour and exaggeration, the participants left knowing that cybersecurity deserves attention before the first attack.

The conference was implemented with the financial support of the European Union and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic (National Recovery Plan).
